Dr. Paul Yadao

gpii_adviser_paulyadaoDr. Paul Yadao is the the lead pastor of Destiny Ministries International based in the Philippines. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of the Philippines Los Banos, but was later called on to be a missionary and a pastor instead. His passion is to transform people for them to fulfil their destiny because he believes that everyone has a destiny: a unique purpose for creation. He also strongly advocates for the family culture.

Mr. Edwin Pages

gpii_adviser_edwinMr. Edwin Pages is the Owner of Philrealty Global Marketing Inc. (a real estate company) and San Marino Builders (a construction company). He’s currently the Chairman of Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) Philippines. He shares Gawad Pag-asa’s passion to help out the poor and needy, especially in providing home for the homeless.

Dr. Miriam Pahm

Dr. Miriam Pahm has been working for an international NGO to provide access to education and skills training to disadvantaged youth in poor and conflict-affected areas in Mindanao. She has also worked with local governments, parent-teacher associations and other institutions to improve the delivery of education and other services to young people. 

Gawad Pag-asa has the privilege of tapping on her years of experience working with impactful organizations such as The World Bank office in Manila, Education Development Center and the Philippine Department of Agriculture, among others.

Miriam completed her undergraduate degree at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City and her postgraduate degrees at UP Los Banos, Philippines and at Cornell University in New York, USA. She was trained as microbiologist but later found her passion in social development. 

She is a doting grandmother of two and is a passionate weekend farmer.

Ptr. Paul Friesen

Pastor Paul Friesen has served in the Mission field together with his wife Carol since 1984. He has a huge heart for the people in South East Asia.

A trained Agriculturist with a Master in Divinity at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, his experiences include being a Regional Liaison of Presbyterian churches in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, and being a Strategy coordinator and Mission mobilizer. Paul also worked with the leaders of the Khmer Presbyterian Fellowship in Cambodia to nurture them in the faith and facilitate their ministry through livelihood projects. He taught at Malaysia Evangelical College where they trained indigenous pastors and worked to mobilize ministry to the unreached. He also served at East Malaysia at Sabah Theological Seminary with the Asia Center for Mission.  Now based in Austin, he remains passionate about God’s mission in the world and he continues his involvement by making regular trips to Asia with a particular focus on Community Health Evangelism (CHE).

Gawad Pag-asa International, Inc. desires to have his contribution and wisdom from his rich experiences in building sustainable projects with the poor and indigenous tribes of South East Asia. His experience as a strategy coordinator will be bring great impact to this organization.
